Training makes you harder to kill and harder to break. It increases your capacity to handle physical and psychological stress. The aesthetic changes are a byproduct — they're not the point.
The Minimum Effective Dose
Three to four days per week of resistance training with compound movements — squats, deadlifts, presses, rows, pulls — is sufficient for most men. Add daily walking. Consistency over intensity.
